Riding on the street can be risky if your brain is in neutral or if you have decided that motorcycling is your only way to adventure and so become a reckless, thrill seeking mobile weapon! I doubt that there are too many riders with that thought. One of the best ways to help gain confidence and reduce risk is to operate to a system.

I can still remember my first ride on a motorcycle on the Public Streets and I was not what you could call relaxed or confident. In fact I think I recall saying to myself "What am I doing out in this jungle?".

We have already looked at 1 of the major disadvantages of the motorcycle, and that is hitting something bigger and heavier than you. The Solution: Don't. Simply, Don't hit it and do everything you can to avoid hitting it.

What is the first thing that WOMEN do after a bad car accident? Turn off the ignition? NO Get away from the car in case it explodes? NO Call 911 on her cell phone? NO Call ambulance?????? CERTAINLY NOT….

Motorcycles have advantages over cars (and other vehicles) that when realised (used and practiced) can even up the odds of NOT getting into an accident. A car's weight is just too much for a motorcycle to come out on top. 55% of all U.S. motorcycle fatalities involved a collision between a motorcycle and another vechile
